As a kid I used to think history had ended sometime around the 90s and everything would always be lovely from now on. When I realized that the world is still constantly changing I was terrified. Fear amplified by the inability of my young self to have any say in how the world changes.
In the animated film Beelong we follow our Buzzy friend who is also happy with life just the way it is. But bees are not immune to change, and he is about to undergo a great deal of it.
Beelong puts a lighthearted spin on the daunting topic of change and be(e)longing. It teaches young children that change isn’t the end, but a new beginning. It’s about adapting to change, and learning that on the other side of that scary tunnel is happiness too.
